At Ameriforge, we understand the importance of operating a quality program that meets the requirements for laboratory operations established by the international community.  Our new, comprehensive, on-site metallurgical laboratory is one of the few Houston area laboratories accredited by the American Association of Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) for Mechanical Testing in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025, General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories.

Ameriforge also participates in numerous proficiency test programs/audits sponsored by our customers, utilizing first, second, or third-party auditors.

Our testing capabilities include:

• Tensile Test (performed at ambient temperature)
• Charpy V-Notch (can be conducted from ambient temperature to –320° F)
• Hardness Test – Rockwell (A, B & C scale); Superficial & Vickers
• Microstructure / Fracture Analysis by Buehler Image Analysis System
• Chemical Analysis by Spectro-port Spectrograph
• Corrosion Test (ASTM A262 Method A, B, C, D & E)
• Non-Destructive Test
• Ultrasonic
• Magnetic Particle
• Spray Penetrant

Our Material Test Reports (MTR) are designed for ease of results interpretation as well as efficient validation of the supported data, i.e.; chemical analysis, mechanical properties, heat treatment, specification affirmation, etc..

The bottom line is that Ameriforge’s Metallurgical Laboratory is fully equipped and staffed to meet the analytical, data management and service-related needs of our customers.
