QUALITY COMMITMENT:

FVC was one of the first companies in the forging industry that made the commitment to certify our quality management system to the ISO9001 standard. Since June 1994, our QA program has been certified to meet the requirements of the ISO9001. Currently we are certified by Det Norske Veritas for the design and manufacture of Pressure Nozzles and Commercial Power Plant Fittings.  FVC is committed to maintaining this certification and is audited by DNV on a regular basis.

FVC products are manufactured in conformance to various codes and standards including:

• ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code Sections I, II, V, and VIII (Division 1, 2, and 3)
• ASME B16.5
• API 605
• MSS – SP44
• NACE MR0175
• API 6A, 16A

Each FVC product is shipped with a certified material test report (MTR), which includes chemical and mechanical properties for the specific heat of steel.

FVC testing capabilities include:

• Chemical analysis
• Tensile property tests
• Impact tests
• Hardness tests
• Nil-ductility testing
• H.I.C. testing
• Metallurgical analysis (macroetch, microetch, grain size, sulphur prints)
• Nondestructive testing (ultrasonic, magnetic particle, liquid penetrant)
• Positive Material Identification (PMI)
