Taper-lok
connections were originally designed by Brown Fin Tubing
to provide for a smaller, lighter, flange connection for
use on their heat exchangers.
Our Taper-Lok® sealing technology has been
incorporated to eliminate the need for welding on a diaphram
plate on the closure. Taper-Lok® will coordinate a retro-fit
for your existing heat exhanger on site during your next
turnaround or work with any OEM.
Our
Taper-Lok® closure is typically used for high pressure up
to 20,000 psi rating applications. Like a Separated-Head,
the Taper-Lok® connection uses independent tube side and shell
side flanges, bolting, and gasketing. The unique feature
this closure offers is a reusable Taper-Lok® ring which acts
as a self-energizing seal. |
